Window cleaning in Raleigh
The best window cleaning you’ve ever had, or it’s free.
Pine pollen in April, an oak canopy that keeps the glass damp the rest of the year, and red clay dust from the next teardown down the street. Raleigh glass gets dirty quietly, and we keep it clear with a set neighborhood day and both sides of the glass.
Now booking. Serving Raleigh, NC 27601, 27605, 27608 and 27609.
What Raleigh does to a window
Raleigh calls itself the City of Oaks, and the inside-the-beltline neighborhoods earn the name. Hayes Barton, Five Points, Budleigh and Country Club Hills sit under white oaks and willow oaks that have been there since the houses went up in the 1920s and 1930s, with loblolly pines filling the gaps. The pines go first, in late March and April, and for three weeks the pollen lies on cars, porches and windows thick enough to write in. The oaks follow with their catkins. It cakes on sills and screens, washes into the tracks with the spring rain, and leaves a yellow film that a hose only moves around. Oakwood and Cameron Park, closer in, get the same from older trees on smaller lots.
The rest of the year the canopy works against the glass a different way. The north and east sides of a house in Five Points or Drewry Hills stay shaded and damp from May through September, and the glass and screens grow a green film by August. Midtown and North Hills are a different story. The teardown and rebuild pace along Lassiter Mill Road, Six Forks Road and the streets behind North Hills puts fine red clay dust in the air that settles on glass a block away, and the new homes going in have irrigation that runs every morning and leaves mineral spots along the lower panes. In October and November the oaks drop into the gutters over about six weeks, longer than most places.
A quarterly plan suits most Raleigh homes, with the inside glass done once a year, and many customers add a visit right after the April pollen. The older homes in Hayes Barton, Budleigh, Oakwood and Boylan Heights often have original wood sash, divided lights and storm windows, and we clean them carefully by hand where the water-fed pole is not the right tool. The newer homes in North Hills run to two-story foyer glass, which we reach with poles from the ground. We work the inside-the-beltline streets and Midtown on their own days, work the whole street in one pass, and send a text the morning of each visit.

Raleigh window cleaning questions
How much does window cleaning cost in Raleigh?
First-clean pricing varies by home size and service package. A first cleaning, inside and out, is $259 for a home up to 2,000 square feet, $329 for 2,000 to 3,500 square feet, and $429 for larger homes on our Silver package. After that, a quarterly maintenance plan runs $60, $77, or $100 a month for those same home sizes. Lakefront and estate homes get a custom quote.
How often should windows be cleaned in Raleigh?
Quarterly keeps the pollen, shade mildew and clay dust under control for most Raleigh homes, and we recommend an extra exterior visit right after the April pine pollen for homes under the oaks in Hayes Barton, Five Points and Budleigh. New homes in North Hills with irrigation running all summer sometimes go to every two months. Most people have the inside glass done once a year.
Can you clean the wood windows and storm panes on an older Hayes Barton or Oakwood home?
Yes. Many homes in Hayes Barton, Budleigh, Oakwood, Cameron Park and Boylan Heights still have 1920s wood sash, divided lights and exterior storm windows. We clean the storm panes and the sash behind them where the storms open or come off, use gentle methods on old glass and painted muntins, and tell you up front if a pane is too fragile to work on safely.
Can you get the pine pollen out of the tracks and screens?
Yes. Pollen that washes into the tracks turns to a yellow paste that makes sliders and double-hung windows stick, and screens hold more of it than the glass does. Tracks are cleaned on every visit, screens are included in the Platinum package, and the spring visit right after the pollen is when most people see the biggest difference.
